EXCLUSIVE: Another Belly Up CEDIA Installer Linked With BMR Group
Serious questions are being asked of Queensland based CEDIA installation Company BMR group after it was revealed that prior to taking over bankrupt installer Look & Listen, another one of their CEDIA installer Companies was placed into liquidation.
Earlier this week we revealed that BMR Group had taken over Look & Listen a Company previously run by award winning CEDIA member Craig Samson who left behind debts in excess of $1M, he now works for BMR Group.
Back in February 2018 James Marc Imray was appointed liquidator(s) of Digital Residence by an order of a Queensland Court debts were believed to be in excess of $1.2M.
The brand names Look and Listen, and Digital Residence are still being used today to spruik AV installation services. Both businesses operate from the same premises at 4 Higgs St, Albion QLD 4010 and both Companies list the same contact number on their web sites.
ChannelNews understands that several suppliers have put these installers on “cash only” or credit card supply terms.
The principles of BMR Group are Brendon Cousemacker, of Elimbah in Queensland, and Matthew Manalis of Deception Bay Queensland, both directors were appointed to the board of BSR Group on the 10th of October 2016.
16 months later the company was forced to liquidate their Digital Residence business.
Both directors are also involved Livigy which is described as a national Smart Assistive Technology integration company that specialises in designing, supplying and installing Smart Assistive Technology for people with disability and seniors throughout Australia, the listed operation is run from the same offices as Digital Residence and Look & Listen.
The former CEO of Look & Listen the Brisbane Craig Samson who is now working for BSR and who describes himself as an “Award Winning” custom installer recently singled out both the Philips owned Dynalite and Savant as two Companies who he claims contributed to his Companies downfall.
ChannelNews can also reveal that he has also had a major falling out with Control4.
Samson who has a reputation for blaming suppliers and their products when things go wrong claims that his business was well run.
Suppliers that ChannelNews has spoken to claim differently.
ChannelNews has been unable to asertain why the BSR Group has continued to trade using two business names that are listed on the ASIC register for liquidated Companies.
