Epson has launched its new Lifestudio range of projectors.

It’s a lifestyle-focused lineup that combines Bose audio, Google TV, and the company’s 3LCD Triple Core Engine.

The collection spans five models – the compact Pop and Pop Plus, the versatile Flex and Flex Plus, and the high-end ultra-short-throw Grand.

The portable Pop and Flex series can project images up to 150 inches, using EpiqSense 2.0 for automatic focus, colour calibration and obstacle avoidance.

The Pop Plus and Flex Plus add Auto Low Latency Mode to reduce input lag for gaming. Both Flex models feature tiltable stands and USB-C power, while the Pop can swivel for projecting onto walls, ceilings or floors

All models come with Google TV, offering licensed access to Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+ and YouTube TV.

Users can also stream from phones via Google Cast and use voice control with Google Assistant.

The Epson Projection Studio app also allows iOS and Android users to create and share slideshows or short videos, with the option for friends to join remotely through a secure link.

Audio has been co-engineered with Bose, making these the world’s first smart projectors with ‘Sound by Bose’.

Nick Smith, Bose’s Chief Strategy Officer has said, “We’re thrilled to partner with Epson… By combining their immersive viewing experience with our exceptional sound, we’re taking home entertainment to the next level – and I can’t wait for customers everywhere to experience it.”

Integrated stereo systems provide balanced, room-filling sound, while HDMI-eARC enables Dolby Atmos and DTS pass-through when paired with an external setup.

Epson is marketing its Lifestudio line as more of a lifestyle gadget than a projector

The Lifestudio line seems to be aimed at families, gamers, and design-conscious buyers who want a big-screen experience without a bulky setup.

Epson is certainly positioning Lifestudio as a lifestyle gadget rather than just home theatre hardware.

For Australian buyers, a Lifestudio projector is a solid all-in-one option for cinema nights, gaming sessions or even karaoke parties projected at up to 150 inches. All the new Epson projectors offer user-friendly convenience and impressive audio-visual performance.

Pricing in the US starts at US$679 (A$1,050) for the Pop, US$799 ($1,235) for the Pop Plus, US$849 ($1,310) for the Flex, and US$999 ($1,545) for the Flex Plus.

The flagship Lifestudio Grand comes in at US$2,699.99 ($4,170), projecting up to 120 inches from just centimetres away with 3,600 lumens of brightness and HDR10 support.

(Epson markets this as 4K PRO-UHD, though it achieves the resolution using pixel-shifting rather than native 4K.)

The projectors are available now through Epson.com and select US retailers.

Australian pricing and release details are yet to be confirmed.
