Epson Launches 4K Laser Projector Tailored for Home Theatres and Gamers
Epson has unveiled its latest premium home theatre offering, the Pro Cinema LS9000 – a 4K HDR laser projector engineered for high-end custom installs, immersive movie nights and long gaming sessions.
The LS9000 is priced at US$3,999 (A$5,900), positioning it as a more affordable alternative to Epson’s previous flagship models.
Powered by Epson’s proprietary 3LCD laser engine and a 32-bit ZX Picture Processor, the LS9000 delivers 8.29 million on-screen pixels using advanced pixel-shifting technology.
The projector supports HDR10+ and HLG for enhanced contrast and colour depth, and boasts 2,200 lumens of both colour and white brightness – enough to perform well in both light-controlled rooms and brighter spaces.

Designed with gamers in mind, it supports 4K at 120Hz with input lag under 20ms, offering ultra-smooth gameplay.
Dual HDMI 2.1 ports with ARC/eARC ensure easy integration with current-gen consoles and surround sound systems.
Installation of the projector is made simple with a motorised 15-element lens system with powered zoom, focus, and a generous ±96% vertical and ±24% horizontal lens shift.
Up to 10 lens memory presets can be saved on the projector – a bonus for those using multiple screen formats.

While not a smart projector with built-in streaming apps, the LS9000 is built for serious AV enthusiasts and integrators. It supports Control4, Crestron, and PJLink for smart home automation and IP control.
The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free use, backed by a three-year warranty and Epson’s two-business-day unit replacement service.
The projector will be demoed at Audio Advice Live in Raleigh, North Carolina, from August 1–3.
