Epson Launch New Flagship Scanner

Epson are bringing a powerful and versatile new photo scanner to market with the Epson Perfection V85 Pro. 

Touting 4800 x 6400 dpi optical resolution with a 4.0 Dmax optical density and Epson’s own dual lens scanning system, Epson claim the Perfection V850 Pro consistently produce both precise colour and intense detail.

“With the Perfection V850 Pro Epson has incorporated everything we have learned on how to scan the perfect image. The result is an advanced level of quality and performance for photographers and graphic designers. Digitised portfolios, unparalleled photo reproductions and other film applications can now be easily and affordably created in-house,” said Epson Australia General Manager Bruce Bealby says.

The scanner features newly designed film holders with sturdier frames for more consistent scans, three height adjustment levels for greater control and an anti-Newton ring plate that promises 

In addition, the scanner also incorporates Digital ICE™ technology to automatically remove defects such as dust, scratches and creases from films, slides and photos.

All up, Epson are promising up to 33% faster scans and 23% less power usage than previous models.

It’s very much the flagship of the company’s photo sanner range and will be available online and in retailers for an RRP of $1399.
