Electrolux has expanded its premium kitchen appliance portfolio with the introduction of a new generation of steam ovens alongside a matching range of induction cooktops for the Australian and New Zealand markets. The launch reflects increasing consumer interest in healthier cooking techniques, advanced kitchen technology and appliances designed to support home entertaining.

The latest oven range combines conventional oven heating with steam cooking capabilities. The appliances allow users to adjust the amount of steam used during cooking, providing options that range from no steam through to light or full steam depending on the dish being prepared. Electrolux says the combination of heat and moisture can help improve flavour, maintain texture and produce more consistent cooking results across a wide variety of meals.

Matthew Jaber, Category Manager at Electrolux ANZ, said the company wanted to make steam cooking easier for everyday use in the home.

He explained that while steam is widely used by professional chefs, it can sometimes feel complicated for home cooks. The new ovens aim to simplify the process by allowing people to choose the level of steam that suits their cooking style without needing to change their usual habits in the kitchen.

The ovens include several technologies designed to support different cooking techniques. SteamPro enables full steam cooking for foods such as fish, vegetables and meats. SteamCrisp uses a moderate level of steam to help keep roasts moist while still producing crisp surfaces. SteamBake introduces a light level of steam to support baking, while Steamify automatically adjusts steam levels based on the cooking temperature selected.

Some models also feature AI Taste Assist, which can optimise cooking settings for selected recipes, along with CookSmart Touch controls that guide users through cooking functions using an interactive display. Assisted cooking programs are included to provide automatic settings and step by step guidance for common dishes.

Electrolux has also introduced a new range of induction cooktops designed to complement the steam ovens within the same kitchen environment. The cooktops feature Scandinavian-inspired styling with flexible cooking zones and responsive controls aimed at helping users manage several dishes at once.

Certain models incorporate SaphirMatt SE surfaces with a matte black finish that is designed to improve scratch resistance and maintain the appearance of the cooktop over time. DoubleBridge technology allows two cooking zones to be combined into a single larger heating surface, which can be useful for large cookware such as roasting pans or plancha plates.

Additional functions include Hob2Hood technology, which automatically adjusts the speed of the kitchen rangehood during cooking. PowerBoost provides an extra burst of heat for rapid boiling or searing before returning to a steady temperature. Power Management balances electrical power between cooking zones to maintain stable operation.

The new cooking range includes several oven models across multiple product tiers. The line-up includes the EVES6810BF 60 cm oven with full steam capability and food probe in the 800 Series, the EVEP6818BF and EVEP6816BF pyrolytic ovens from the 700 Series, and several models from the 600 and 500 Series featuring SteamBake functionality. The range also includes compact combination microwave ovens such as the EVEM6546DF built-in microwave oven combo and the EVEM6847ZB compact combi microwave oven.

Alongside the ovens and cooktops, Electrolux has introduced additional kitchen appliances including the EMB2525DF 25 litre built-in microwave oven and warming drawers designed to pair with the various oven series.

Electrolux said the expanded product line aims to create a cohesive kitchen ecosystem that combines advanced cooking features with design that integrates smoothly into modern homes. According to the company, the goal is to deliver appliances that balance performance, usability and visual appeal for contemporary kitchens in Australia and New Zealand.
