Edifier is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the launch of the new M90 compact speaker system, a 100 W active stereo setup designed to bridge the gap between desktop audio and home entertainment.

First unveiled at CES, the Edifier M90 introduces HDMI eARC support to the company’s compact speaker range, allowing seamless connectivity with TVs, gaming consoles and streaming platforms.

The move reflects a broader shift in the audio market toward versatile “all-scenario” speaker systems that can move between desktop and living room setups.

The M90 packs dual Class-D amplifiers, 4-inch aluminium mid-low drivers and 1-inch silk dome tweeters into a compact bookshelf-style design.

Edifier claims the system delivers room-filling sound despite its small footprint, with support for Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Wireless certification.

Connectivity is a major focus, with HDMI eARC, Optical, USB-C, AUX and Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC support all included. HDMI CEC also allows users to control volume and power directly through a compatible TV remote.

The launch comes as Edifier celebrates three decades in audio, evolving from affordable desktop speakers into a broader consumer audio brand spanning headphones, gaming gear and premium sound systems.

The company says it plans to expand HDMI eARC integration across more of its speaker lineup throughout 2026.

The Edifier M90 is available now in black or white finishes with US pricing set at US$369.99. Australian pricing is not yet confirmed. Edifier’s bookshelf speakers are also available locally through the JB Hi-Fi Marketplace.
