LG Unleash "Future of TV": 4K OLED        LG
to start of sales of the world’s first OLED TV with 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution and will make its debut at IFA next week in Berlin.     

Coming in
77″ and 65″ screen sizes, the new LG TV has a curved panel
composed of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) in Ultra HD or ‘4K’ quality, which is
four time the quality of Full HD screens.

no blurring, and predicts it will overtake LCD sales within a few years.

US and Europe to follow, although LG could not confirm if they will hit OZ. 

The Korean TV maker says the combi of 4K + OLED “is the future of television.” The dual tech sets also runs WebOS,
its excellent Smart TV platform.  



The large screen TV features LG’s proprietary Four-Colour Pixel WRGB technology with 33
million sub-pixels to produce lifelike colours
and infinite contrast ratio. Its fast
response rate helps the TV render motion without flickering.    

4K OLED TV is the pinnacle of technological achievement and a new paradigm that
will change the dynamics of the next generation TV market,” said Hyun-hwoi Ha, CEO
of LG’s Home Entertainment.
