DJI Mini 5 Pro Leak Reveals Huge Upgrade In Flight Time
DJI’s next compact drone has leaked in the clearest detail yet, after photos of the Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo retail box surfaced online.
The packaging confirms a raft of upgrades for the lightweight drone series, including a larger camera sensor, LiDAR obstacle detection and a massive jump in flight time to 52 minutes.
According to the leaked box, the Mini 5 Pro will carry a 1-inch CMOS sensor, a first for DJI’s Mini range.
The drone will record 4K video at up to 120fps, support a 48mm telephoto crop mode, and offer a gimbal with 225° rotation for vertical shooting – clearly aimed at TikTok and Instagram creators.
The drone also appears to debut front-facing LiDAR sensors, enabling 360-degree obstacle detection even in low light.
DJI’s ActiveTrack subject-tracking mode is listed as well, designed to lock onto runners, cyclists and moving vehicles with less risk of collision.

The DJI Mini 4 Pro, launched in 2023
But the headline upgrade is endurance.
The Fly More Combo Plus lists a staggering 52 minutes of maximum flight time using the new “Flight Battery Plus” packs.
That’s a huge jump from the Mini 4 Pro’s 34 minutes (or 45 minutes with its Plus battery), making the Mini 5 Pro the longest-flying drone in DJI’s compact lineup.
Standard batteries keep the drone under 250g to retain C0 certification, but the Plus batteries could push it past that threshold in some regions.
Also included in the bundle are DJI’s RC2 controller with built-in screen and an ND filter set for videographers.
A tweet from leaker @KietN7650 showed the full contents of the package, with the Mini 5 Pro powered on beside its controller.
While DJI has not yet confirmed the device, the Mini 5 Pro is expected to launch later this month.
If accurate, the leaked specs suggest it will be the biggest leap forward yet in DJI’s Mini series, bringing pro-level imaging and advanced safety features to a sub-250g drone for the first time.
For drone enthusiasts in Australia, the key question will be whether the higher-capacity batteries make it here, or if DJI restricts the Plus combo to China.
