Devialet Gives Its Phantom Speaker An F1-Inspired Pulse Blue Makeover
Devialet has given its compact Phantom speaker a Formula 1-inspired makeover, unveiling the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue in collaboration with Oracle Red Bull Racing driver and Devialet Global Brand Ambassador Isack Hadjar.
The special-edition speaker arrives around a year after the latest-generation Phantom made its debut, combining the existing model’s high-end audio hardware with a distinctive new blue finish.
The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue is priced at A$3,500, and is available now through Devialet stores, the company’s website and authorised retailers. A matching Tree Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue stand will also be available for A$449.
While the Formula 1 connection provides much of the marketing story, the biggest physical change is the colour. Pulse Blue revives a shade previously used by Devialet, but this version features redesigned side panels that transition from matte to gloss with a mirror-polished surface.
A clear varnish adds depth to the RAL 5011 blue finish and changes its appearance depending on the light, while Devialet has also refined the logo to complement the design. The optional Tree stand receives the same Pulse Blue treatment.

Underneath, the hardware remains familiar. The speaker offers a claimed frequency response of 18Hz to 25kHz (±6dB) and can reach sound pressure levels of up to 98dB SPL. It supports audio files at up to 24-bit/192kHz and uses Devialet’s cospherical architecture with a dedicated full-range driver designed to create a wider acoustic field.
The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB can operate as a standalone speaker, be paired with a second unit for stereo listening or form part of a wider multiroom setup.
Devialet has also packed in several of its proprietary audio technologies. ADH New-Gen (Analog Digital Hybrid) combines Class A analogue amplification with Class D digital amplification, while SAM (Speaker Active Matching) adjusts the audio signal to match the speaker’s drivers in real time.
The company’s HBI (Heart Bass Implosion) technology handles low frequencies, with bass claimed to extend down to 18Hz. AVL (Adaptive Volume Level), meanwhile, automatically adjusts volume depending on the content being played.
Software and streaming support are equally extensive. Running on Devialet’s DOS 3 architecture, the speaker supports AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect and UPnP.
Through the Devialet app, owners can switch between Music, Podcast, Cinema and Neutral listening modes. There is also a six-band equaliser alongside Bass Reducer and Loudness controls for further sound adjustment.
The Pulse Blue edition doesn’t fundamentally change what the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB can do, but it gives Devialet’s already unconventional speaker an even more distinctive appearance while strengthening the brand’s growing connection with Formula 1.
At A$3,500 before adding the matching A$449 stand, it remains firmly in premium audio territory. But for buyers who want their high-end speaker to make as much of a visual statement as an acoustic one, the Pulse Blue edition certainly isn’t designed to disappear into the room.
