D-Link Australia has appointed Dicker Data as a new distributor, expanding its reach across the fast-converging physical security and networking markets.

Under the agreement, D-Link’s networking portfolio will be distributed through Dicker Data’s specialist DAS business, which services the physical security and electrical channels, as well as through Dicker Data’s broader IT reseller network.

D-Link Australia managing director Graeme Reardon (pictured) said the partnership reflects increasing overlap between security and network infrastructure.

“The line between physical security and network infrastructure continues to blur, with security installers and system integrators deploying more Wi-Fi, switching and networking infrastructure alongside traditional physical security work every day,” Reardon said.

“Through DAS, Dicker Data is uniquely positioned in this converging market and we’re excited to bring D-Link’s networking portfolio, training and services to those professionals.”

The deal provides D-Link access to DAS’s network of physical security and electrical professionals, system integrators and installers, while also increasing exposure to Dicker Data’s national IT reseller base.

D-Link’s range includes Wi-Fi access points, managed and unmanaged switches, structured cabling and cloud-managed networking via its Nuclias platform. The company will also roll out tailored training and certification programs with DAS.

DAS national sales manager Gary Meyers said the addition strengthens the distributor’s ability to support partners as networking becomes central to security deployments.

“Our security partners are increasingly looking for reliable, scalable networking solutions that are easy to deploy and supported locally,” Meyers said. “This appointment allows us to deliver exactly that, backed by the service, expertise and enablement they expect from DAS.”

Products are available immediately through both DAS and Dicker Data.
