T2: Acer’s “Tablet-Like” Monitor

T2: AcerAcer’s new 27 inch T2 series touchscreen monitor, a Full HD 1080p LED backlit LCD display, has jsut been released in Australia.

The LCD monitor has 178 degree viewing angle and can tilt up to 60 degrees backwards allowing for “tablet-like functionality” – far superior to conventional TN panels, say its maker.

The flexible 27″ display also has integrated speakers and HDMI, so it’s good for gaming and entertainment, and a USB 3.0 port, and a floating design with edge-to-edge glass.
The T2 series touch monitor has a fast 5ms response time using the latest Vertical Alignment (VA) panel technology 10 point multi-touch, so it can be used by a number of people at the same time.

T2 uses the latest Vertical Alignment display technology, and can be mounted on a wall.
“The T2 series monitor is a versatile touch computing solution, appealing to a wide range of customers from graphic designers and gamers through to corporate and education users as well”, said Gaba Cheng, Head of Consumer Client Product, Acer.
“The new 27 inch model not only makes an attractive centerpiece in a home or office but is also great value due to the massive amount extra screen space it affords.”
T2 series is a power saver and has up to 68% lower consumption with its mercury-free white LED backlight. In standby mode, it uses less than 0.1W of power and the panel is PVC & BFR free.
The packaging is made of 100% recyclable material making the T2 the most earth friendly Acer display to date with full RoHS compliance.
