Coles Recalls Charger Over Shock Risks

Supermarket giant Coles has been forced to recall one of its house brand electronics accessories over fears it could shock users.

The Colesmobile universal USB wall charger with model code 1844154 marked on its label doesn’t meet the Electrical Safety Standard because the plastic enclosure of the charger may separate and exposes live wires.

The charger was sold online and in-store around the country from July 2017 until three weeks ago.

Consumers with the defective device are advised to stop using it immediately and return it to any Coles store for a full refund.
