China’s LeEco Snaps Up Vizio

Chinese electronics firm LeEco is buying American TV maker Vizio for US$2 billion. The deal will give LeEco a ready-made foothold in the US television market.

Vizio will continue to be operated as an independent subsidiary, with the company’s current executive team expected to stay in place – with the exception of founder and CEO William Wang.
