CES Unveiled 2020: A Glimpse Into The Tech Of The Future
Despite CES 2020 officially getting underway on January 7 in Las Vegas, the media was able to get a sneak peek the day before at all of the cutting-edge technology on show during the trade show’s preview event called CES Unveiled.

AirSelfie Air Duo
AirSelfie plans to release multiple drone cameras this year, including the Air Duo for a hands-off approach to taking selfies. Capable of taking 1080p video, the Air Duo comes with a bird’s eye camera and parallel path camera.
Anova Precision Oven
Anova unveiled its new Precision Oven, which combines steam capabilities with heating elements. Users have the power to control the type of heat, temperature, time of cooking and steam for a new level of precision for the home.
Cosmo Connected Smart Helmet
The Cosmo Connected Smart Helmet comes with a built-in brake light and AR visor for improved navigation for users. The visor also provides a HUD that can show informations on speed, distance, directions, and much more.
Dell XPS 13 and Latitude 9510
Dell’s updated XPS 13 features smaller bezels around the “InfinityEdge” display, allowing for a screen-to-body ratio of 91.5%. Additionally, the display is also 25% brighter and the XPS 13 now comes with the 10th-Gen Intel Core processors under the hood. Dell also unveiled its new business notebook, the Latitude 9510, which is available in 2-in-1 or clamshell and is the initial offering in the company’s new Latitude 9000 series.
Jabra Elite Active 75t and 45h
Jabra launched its new sports-focused Elite Active 75t and the stylish new Elite 45h models. The 75t comes with 7.5 hours of battery life off a single charge and has strong water and sweat resistance. The 45t comes with all the premium features expected but at a budget price.
iKuddle Smart Pet Line
For those with a little fur baby at home, iKuddle has you covered with a new smart pet line – consisting of a new water fountain, food dispenser and litterbox. The food dispenser holds up to 6L of food, a battery backup and an integrated camera, while the fountain comes with a two-step filtration system and battery backup. The litterbox on the other hand also has the ability to monitor your pet’s health and comes with a built-in deodoriser.
Legrand Drivia Smart Electrical Panel
A great new way to control your smart home – the new Drivia Smart Electrical Panel from Legrand and Netatmo consists of a variety of modules that can be installed into an electrical panel for control and monitoring. It supports Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit.
LG G8X ThinQ Dual Screen
LG’s recently introduced dual-screen smartphone, the GX8 ThinQ Dual Screen was on show, which features a pair of 6.4-inch OLED displays with FullHD resolution. The GX8 also offers dual rear cameras, a 4,000mAh battery, and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.
Mateo Smart Bathmat
The world’s first smart bathmat, which integrates a scale and other health metrics into a common household device. The Mateo can also measure other metrics such as body composition, muscle mass and bone mass.
Nanoleaf Hexagon Panels & Learning Series
Nanoleaf’s new hexagon-shaped light panels are designed to work with other panel shapes and have a new ‘snap-together’ design for a more secure fit. Nanoleaf also showed off its new Learning Series, which consists of a new switch, bulb, button and gateway that connects to select third-party bulbs.
NextMind Brain-Sensing Wearable
NextMind’s “brain-sensing” wearable aims to let users control devices with their thoughts. It is worn on the back of the head and the wearable generates data from the electrical signals that result from a user’s neuron activity in the brain’s visual cortex. It will then use machine learning to translate the data into an action.
Oral B IO Smart Toothbrush
Connected to an app via Bluetooth, the new Oral B IO smart Toothbrush has the ability to show your brushing progress and tracks the areas of your mouth that has been brushed. It comes with a status light that glows green when you apply the right amount of pressure and red if you apply too much or not enough.
Piktaka Air Omni
Accessory maker Piktaka’s all-in-one Apple-certified charging accessory, the Air Omni, was on show and includes wireless charging options for AirPods, Apple Watch and iPhones. It comes with new outputs for USB-A, USB-C and Lightning, which can put out a combined 18W of power.
Targus Quad 4K Docking Station
Targus unveiled its new Quad 4K Docking Station, which has four ports for HDMI and four ports for DisplayPort – giving users the ability to run four 4K monitors in any combination from the docking station.
