CES 2019: Jabra Unveil 36hr Noise-Cancelling Headphones

Jabra is celebrating its parent company’s 150 anniversary this year with the expansion of their Elite headphone range with an upgraded Jabra Move: the Move Style Edition and the new Elite 85h headphones, set to hit the Australian market in April 2019, both revealed at CES 2019.

The Elite 85h boast a maximum battery life of 32 hours (with ANC activated), custom-engineered 40mm speakers and advanced 6-microphone call technology for crystal-clear sound.

They also feature Jabra SmartSound an exclusive AI technology for intelligent adaptive audio developed with audEERING’s soundscape technology which ensures that the headphones’ audio output automatically adjusts to the wearer’s surroundings to maintain a good audio fidelity.

Jabra insists the Elite 85h are the “smartest ANC headphones on the market” thanks to their “totally hands-free Voice Assistant Control”, instead of touching a button, wearers only need to speak the wake word to enable the integrated Alexa voice assistant thanks to its 6-microphone solution and Jabra Sound+ app.

Jabra has also announced full Voice Activation (VA) integration with Chinese tech titans Baidu, Tmall, Tencent and iFlytek.

Jabra Move has been given a stylish new look with the Move Style Edition — now available in three new colours Titanium Black, Gold Beige, and Navy — as well as offering an improved battery life of up to 14 hours, while maintaining the great sound and comfort that Jabra Move provided since its launch in 2014.

René Svendsen-Tune, CEO at Jabra said: “Innovation lies at the heart of everything we do at Jabra. We constantly push ourselves to explore new grounds by establishing partnerships with exciting brands such as Amazon, audEERING, Microsoft and Red Bull to ensure we are providing only the best-in-class solutions for our users. SmartSound is testimony to our commitment to being the leaders in audio, after 150 years in the sound business.”

Jabra’s Elite Active Range also has a new addition, the Elite Active 45e, waterproof earphones with an improved ear-hook design for a secure and comfortable fit for long periods plus a battery life of up to nine hours on a single charge.

The Elite 85h will be available in Australia and New Zealand from April 2019 at selected retailers (MSRP $US299). Move Style will be available in Australia from late February at selected retailers. Elite Active 45e is set to launch in the first quarter of 2019.
