Canton’s New Soundbase To Take On Sonos

Indi Imports, who distribute the Canton audio brand in Australia, say that Canton’s new soundbar and soundbase are selling through “significantly”.

Priced at $849, DM9 promises to deliver “genuine home cinema sound with a full surround sound field from a single sound source”, “optimum speech intelligibility, impressive auditory spaciousness and powerful bass notes.”

It’s packing 2.1 Virtual Surround Sound, Dolby Digital and DTS TruSurround support.

Announced late last year, It even compares favorable to Sonos’ latest efforts in terms of both price and performance.

Same goes for Canton’s DM100, which is now priced at $1000.

Equal parts powerful and dynamic, the DM100 brings a 200 watt digital amplifier with integrated 2-way loudspeaker system and down-fire subwoofer to bear.

Paul Riachi, director of Indi Imports, says “over the years we have sold a numerous range of Soundbars, however after experiencing the sound and performance of the latest range of Canton Soundbars, I don’t think I have heard anything better than these Soundbases”.
