BREAKING NEWS:Lifestyle Store Crashes

The Lifestyle Store website has been down for three days, management claim they have a “plug in “ problem however a visit to .au Domain Administration Limited (auDA) tells a different story.

According to the domain authority the Lifestyle store web site has been prohibited from being renewed.

When ChannelNews checked the status of the Lifestyle store web site, as most web sites can be repaired in a matter of hours, despite the Harvey Norman web site taking over 12 hours on Black Friday, we found that the status attributed to the site prevents the domain from being deleted from the registry, because of ‘ several issues with one being possible legal action’ pending.

The Authority then went on to claim that “It is an uncommon status that is usually enacted during legal disputes or auDA compliance review (auDRP).”

Recently ChannelNews revealed a total restructure of the struggling North Parramatta NSW retail operation with a new business name registered this month, Life Style Store Australia Pty Ltd. No explanation has been given for the new registration with the sole director and Company Secretary listed as Rodney John Humphries.

See seperate story here on recent restructure.

When ChannelNews approached the CEO of the business Vinod David yesterday we were told that the online problem related to “A plug-in problem.”
David said, “ We have had several people look at the problem and we cannot identify the problem.”

When we first noticed the site was down the home page was scramble of logos, now there is a new page indicating a maintenance issue.

Currently the business, which started a separate entity Theatre At Home, which use to operate several retail shops across Australia, is looking to merge the struggling TAH operation into the Lifestyle store.
Several of the shops don’t answer telephone calls and when we questioned management why there Nunawading store was padlocked, we were told it was “Because we cannot get staff”.

“We were then told by another staff member that “There is problems with the air conditioning”.
Local retailers in the same shopping centre claimed that the

rent had not been paid” on the former Sony Store location.
