BREAKING NEWS: Ingram & Synnex Load Over 4,000 Big Brand Amazon SKU’s

BREAKING NEWS: Leading retailers Ingram Micro and Synnex have uploaded over 4,000 SKU’s to the Amazon Australia website ahead of the Australian site launch later this month.

ChannelNews has been told that the products loaded include both commercial B2B and consumer products spanning some of the biggest brands currently being sold by the likes of Officeworks, JB Hi Fi and Harvey Norman.

We also understand that Amazon has targeted EB Games with a clear strategy to bring gamers to their site. We also understand that they are set to sell two leading gaming titles that are responsible for driving traffic into EB Games stores at more than 50% off.

Amazon is also set to range gaming products from both Sony and Microsoft as a key category to drive traffic to their sites.

Also uploading products is Dicker Data.

Senior executives of local subsidiaries for several big global brands have told ChannelNews that they have had “little say” in the supply of products and pricing to Amazon with the big US online site negotiating directly with brands who currently sell their products in several Countries around the world via Amazon.

Some executives claim that the price Amazon is buying products for is below what the local subsidiary can supply the same products for to retailers in Australia.
