John Brown the former CEO of Beko has quit with former Sales and Marketing Director Jim Kalotheos taking on the role.

Zafer Ustuner, CEO Arçelik Hitachi Asia Pacific, announced the move today after John Brown announced his retirement from the business which is currently based on the Gold Coast.
Sydney based Kalotheos takes on the role from the 1st of April with the former Smeg CEO currently looking to grow share of the Companies Hitachi and Beko products in Australia.
“Jim joined us 3 years ago as Sales and Marketing Director and has worked closely with John bringing on the Hitachi brand, broadening distribution and growing Beko. His previous experience as Managing Director with Smeg, and his deep knowledge of the products and local retail marketplace, has made Jim the obvious person in our succession plan for the business” the Company said.
His sales and marketing expertise bring exactly the right leadership strengths for the next phase of development for Beko and Hitachi across the Australian and New Zealand markets”, Zafer noted.
