Italian kitchen appliance manufacturer Bertazzoni has expanded its range cooker portfolio by introducing integrated air fry technology across its latest collection, reflecting growing demand for multi-functional cooking appliances that reduce the need for additional benchtop devices.

The new cooking programme is being rolled out across approximately 130 range cooker models in the company’s Professional and Heritage Series. It is available on 60cm, 90cm, 100cm and 120cm models, including single, double and triple oven configurations with either gas or induction cooktops.

Rather than relying on a separate air fryer, the new ovens use a combination of high-temperature grilling and forced-air circulation to cook food evenly. Bertazzoni says the dedicated air fry setting produces crisp results while requiring less oil than conventional frying methods. A specially designed air fry tray is included with each compatible model.

The introduction of the feature reflects the growing popularity of air frying in Australian kitchens, where consumers are increasingly seeking appliances capable of performing multiple cooking functions within a single unit.

One of the most significant additions is the arrival of Bertazzoni’s first 60cm Heritage Series range cookers. Available in stainless steel, ivory and black finishes, the compact models are designed for kitchens where space is limited but premium styling remains a priority. Buyers can choose between gas and induction cooking surfaces.

Inspired by the company’s original wood-fired stoves produced during the 1880s, the Heritage Series combines traditional design elements with contemporary cooking technology. Features include an analogue temperature gauge, chrome control knobs and handles, cast iron pan supports, triple-glazed soft-close oven doors, heavy-duty racks and automatic ignition.

Professional Series and Heritage Series models are available in nine colour options, giving homeowners greater flexibility to match kitchen cabinetry and interior design schemes.

Paul Whyte, Director at Bertazzoni UK Ltd, said integrating air fry technology into range cookers was a logical progression following the feature’s introduction in the company’s built-in ovens.

“Introducing air fry technology into range cookers was the natural next step in our product evolution following last years’ launch in built-in ovens.

“An air-fry oven offers the best of both worlds – traditional cooking and quick & easy air frying, depending on preference at the time. And what’s more, you can do both consecutively in the multi-oven models, as needed.

“Our commitment to capacity is now further evidenced in extended capabilities of our multi-function ovens and we’re proud to continue driving innovation in our products.”

Founded in 1882, Bertazzoni remains family owned and continues to manufacture premium kitchen appliances from its headquarters in northern Italy. The latest expansion highlights the company’s focus on combining traditional craftsmanship with modern cooking technology as consumer expectations continue to evolve.
