Australia Post Consumer Boss Moves To Wesfarmers

The mass exodus at Australia Post continues, as head of consumer and community, Nicole Sheffield, is moving to a newly created role at Wesfarmers.

Sheffield will be reporting directly to Rob Scott, and she will start in November. The role will see her oversee digital strategies for the entire group, including K-Mart, Target, and Bunnings.

“This is a new role for Wesfarmers, reflecting the strategic importance and growth potential of our data and digital strategies, and Nicole will work in close partnerships with the divisions,” a spokesman told The Australian.

This is at least the ninth major AusPost employee to jump ship since Christine Holgate’s departure.

Manager of Mail Services Michael Oates, and Holgate’s EA Vicki Ballantyne joined Holgate at her new employer Global Express.

John Cox, who was Executive General Manager of Transformation and Enablement, is leaving to become Coles’ CTO; Claire Burke, GM of Costumer Solutions and Partnerships, is also leaving to join a tech company; and GM of Property, Michelle McNally is returning to former employer ISPT Super Property.

Chief Risk Officer Claire Hamilton is moving to AGL, while Finance Executive Neil Farbridge-Currie left a few weeks ago.
