Audio Active Recruits Former JB Hi-Fi General Manager

Melbourne-based distributor, Audio Active, has welcomed former JB Hi-Fi New Zealand General Manager, Bruce Thierbach, to its team, effective May 28th. Mr Thierbach takes the helm as Audio Active’s new General Manager of Sales and Marketing.

Thierbach boasts over 25 years experience in the consumer electronics and audio-visual industry, and is credited with leading JB Hi-Fi through a significant growth phase.

Prior to joining Audio Active, Mr Thierbach was General Manager of JB Hi-Fi New Zealand, and managed “buying, sales and marketing” for a product portfolio of over $900 million.

He was also formerly involved in national training and business development.

Prior to this Thierbach worked at Clive Anthonys as Operations Manager.

Audio Active Managing Director, Jeremy Bouris, asserts the distributor is eager to work with Thierbach again, following previous interactions at JB Hi-Fi.

Mr Thierbach affirms he’s “privileged” to join Audio Active, with a special desire to work with some of the industry’s “most specialised” brands.

“More importantly I am looking forward to working with quality retailers which I believe have a strong future for the home entertainment market,” Thierbach adds.

The news follows the departure of Audio Active Internal Sales Co-ordinator, Michael Toy, late last year, who was replaced by Tarkan Ceviker via internal promotion.

Audio Active is an Australian distributor of brands such as; Emotiva, Paradigm, Vienna Acoustics, Anthem and Luxman.
