Apple Shares Close At Record High
Apple shares jumped 1.6 per cent at the end of trading to close at an all-time high of A$272.08.
The Californian tech giant is proving an evergreen stock, with a 41 per cent advance in 2023 dwarfing the Nasdaq 100 Index’s 35 per cent gain.
Apple accounts for 7.5 per cent of the S&P 500 Index, and is looming close to the magical US$3 trillion valuation mark, currently sitting at US$2.89 trillion.

This marks the first closing high the company has achieved since January 2022, although it scraped an intraday record last week upon revealing the Vision Pro mixed-reality headset at its WWDC conference.
Although the headset was derided by many, including Mark Zuckerberg, for not being affordable enough for the general consumer market, this seemingly hasn’t spooked the stock market.
