Another Stan Exit As Nine Brand Wilts
First up it was former CEO Mike Sneesby who left Stan to become CEO of the Nine Entertainment network before being a sudden exit from the top job, now Diana Ilinkovski the former marketing director who worked closely with Sneesby has left the business.
Ilinkovski (seen below) worked closely with Sneesby in the early days of Stan having joined the streaming operation in 2014 and has been credited with a lot of the marketing success the Company achieved especially when Stan was unknown.
In a statement to Mumbrella a Company official said “Stan can confirm that Diana Ilinkovski has resigned from her position as CMO to spend time with her family. Stan will soon commence a recruitment process.”
The move comes as Stan struggles to hold onto subscribers following the Olympics that saw a surge in subscriber numbers, they are also struggling in the sports market with Foxtel seen as the sports streaming network via their Kayo app that delivers big numbers spanning NRL of which Nine has the free to air rights and the AFL.
In 2021, she was promoted to chief marketing officer.
Stan’s chief executive officer Martin Kugeler shared the news of Ilinkovski’s departure in an email to staff on Monday, seen by Mumbrella.
The exit of Diana Ilinkovski comes as Nine continues with the fallout of a months-long workplace culture review. We have no evidence that Diana Ilinkovski was involved in any issues involving sexual harrasment or the investigations that have taken place at the Nine Network due to cultural issues.

Mike Sneesby former Stand and Nine CEO,
Nine’s interim CEO, Matt Stanton, said that the Companies Upfronts last week, “As an organisation, we’ve had to face some hard truths and confront systemic cultural issues, which has been incredibly challenging for our people,” he said.
“At all levels of the business, we are deeply committed to embedding meaningful and lasting change at Nine and believe that this difficult, yet necessary process will allow more of our people at their best.
