Amazon Recruits Former Samsung Chief Marketing Officer

Former Samsung Australia Chief Marketing Officer, Arno Lenior, has been appointed Amazon’s Marketing Director.

Lenior reportedly held tenture at Apple, Lion Nathan, and consultancy firm Virtical.

From 2015 to 2015 Lenior was Samsung Australia’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Last week, Amazon appointed Katie Curran, Former Head of Communications at Uber ANZ, as its Head of Communications.

Rocco Braeuniger was named Amazon Australia’s inaugural Country Manager in August.

Braeuniger boasts over 10 years’ experience in several roles at Amazon, and was the e-commerce giant’s former German Business Director.

The news follows Amazon Australia’s launch last week, which unfortunately was dubbed ‘underwhelming’ and ‘unimpressive’ by many Australian consumers, following a lack of price competitiveness and product diversity.
