Plantronics Unveils Noise-Cancelling Voyager Focus UC Wireless Stereo Headset
Helping to minimise noise distractions, the Voyager Focus, which Plantronics states is the first wireless stereo headset with ANC tech, is designed for use in the workplace, allowing workers to concentrate by eliminating background noise.
The Voyager Focus, which is equipped withClass 1 Bluetooth offering up to 45 metres of wireless range, comes with three precisely tuned microphones and enhanced noise-cancelling capabilities, designed to optimise voice and minimise noise – such as that caused by keyboard clatter, close talkers, wind and movement – allowing the caller to hear the user’s voice and not their surroundings.
Other features include Dynamic Mute Alert, which senses and alerts users when they are trying to talk when muted, with the headset automatically going on mute when a user takes it off and unmuting when it is put back on. On-board sensors provide for answering a call by putting the headset on and pause mobile audio when the headset is taken off, restarting it when it is put back on.
Leatherette ear cushions wrapped around pillow-soft memory foam are designed to deliver all-day comfort, while a cushioned metal headband is designed for durability and a comfortable and secure fit.
Graeme Gherbaz, Plantronics managing director, ANZ, noted today’s offices are “embracing increased collaboration and mobility”.
“While this move to activity-based working is making companies more responsive and efficient, it also provides an increase in workplace noise and distractions,” he commented. “This is often at those times where you may need to focus on individual tasks.
“The Voyager Focus UC is designed to address this issue through noise-cancellation technologies, allowing employees to use one headset for multiple devices that also reduces background sounds and eliminates distractions.”
The Voyager Focus will be available in August, carrying a price-tag of $389.95 SRP.
