Rodney Block, head of Asia-Pacific sales, said the company wants to move beyond action sports. He noted that in the US GoPro has divisions dedicated to sectors including police and the military and said the company may target similar sectors in Australia.
He said that the Victorian Government had provided some “investment support” for its move into Melbourne but was keeping mum on just how much was involved.
