New Sunfire XTEQ Subwoofers Land In Aussie Market
The XTEQ line-up comprises the 8″ XTEQ8, 10″ XTEQ10 and 12″ XTEQ12, each housed in enclosures barely bigger than the size of the woofer diameter.
Each model features Sunfire’s Tracking Down Converter amplifier design, with the drivers all featuring the latest improvements of Sunfire’s High Back-emf design, and “to best accommodate the longer ‘throw’ of the XTEQ woofers” Sunfire’s Asymmetrical Cardioid Surround design.
The models additionally feature the latest in Sunfire’s auto-equalisation technology “to tailor the subwoofer output to compensate for any room’s acoustic anomalies”.
Premium features include multiple turn-on options (auto-audio sensing and 12-volt trigger activation), soft-clipping amplification, anti-walking treads, and variable crossover and phase control, with the subwoofers including RCA line-in/line-out and slave connections, designed to make it easy to pair two subwoofers, with XLR connectors for pro applications.
“The XTEQ series builds upon the advances pioneered with the Sunfire Atmos and TSEQ series subs,” Core Brands audio marketing manager Matt Dever commented.
Melbourne-based AV distributor QualiFi advises the Sunfire XTEQ8, XTEQ10 and XTEQ12 will retail for $2,349, $2,749 and $3,199, respectively.
