New Geneva Wireless Sound System Massively Overpriced
Geneva’s new Matte collection consists of six models that combine DAB+ radio, a sound system and Bluetooth wireless streaming.
The new models are the Geneva XS, Model S, Model M, Model L and the Model XXL.
Audio Dynamics managing director, Philipe Luder is in Sydney this week talking to specialist retailers, the Geneva range despite its unique European styling has not been sold by mass retailers.
“There’s reason to be excited. Geneva broke new ground with its designs initially and this range is the brand’s best yet.” he said.
Priced from $449 the range includes the Model XS travel clock/sound system to $5499 for the flagship Model XXL Geneva sound system, each model enables streaming from iPhones, iPods or any smartphone or laptop.
The Model XXL has Airplay and is built to showcase TVs with up to 65-inch screens. Internally, It’s a home theatre system and a hi-fi system in one minimalist cabinet.
Digital amplifiers driving six inbuilt speakers as well as an 8-inch subwoofer provide power.
Trusted Reviews said after reviewing the XS model “Stylish, petite and flexible, the Geneva Sound Model XS fits perfectly with the much larger models in the range…..You do need to care about style, though, as the sound is naturally compromised by the small size of the unit and its drivers – and that price takes it out of impulse buy territory for most of us”.
