Klipsch Reference R-4B Soundbar Set To Land In OzThe two-way soundbar is decked out with premium drivers, two lightweight 0.75″ horn-loaded textile dome tweeters for “distinctive high-frequency detail”, along with two 2.5″ mid-range fibre composite woofers, rounding out the “enhanced sound with crisp vocal and dynamic soundtracks”.

The tweeters are coupled with Klipsch-exclusive Tractrix Horns, reducing distortion and increasing dispersion more directly to the main listening area, while a 6.5″ down-firing wireless subwoofer is housed in a MDF cabinet with a slot-port design for deep, powerful bass.

The subwoofer, pairing with the soundbar wirelessly, measures in at 3.5″ tall and 40″ wide, allowing it to sit “comfortably under most television screens, not obstructing the view or the infrared signal from the TV’s remote”.

Compatible with most Bluetooth devices, the Reference R-4B comes with an included programmable remote with three listening modes: virtual surround, night EQ and voice enhancement EQ, while its Dolby Digital decoder allows the soundbar to “automatically reproduce detailed, high-quality sound no matter what format of sound is coming from the TV’s output”.

The Reference R-4B’s removable feet and included keyhole mounts allow for the soundbar to be mounted to a wall or rest in front of the TV.

“The R-4B soundbar delivers Klipsch’s legendary power and performance at a lower price point, which appeals to a wide audience,” Steve Jain, Klipsch VP and GM of digital, streaming and portable audio solutions, commented.

“It offers users the conveniences of plug n’ play audio and instant streaming using Bluetooth wireless technology, and new listening modes significantly enhance the listening experience that is lacking in flat panel TVs today.”

The Klipsch Reference R-4B carries a price tag of $999, and will be available for purchase later this month from Harvey Norman stores around the country.
