Mitsubishi Electric Australia Appoints New Managing Director
Needham, who has a mechanical engineering background and who has been working with Mitsubishi for 27 years, having held various engineering and management roles within the company, will take up the position from June 16.
“I have had a very enjoyable and rewarding experience leading the Australian company through a period of strong growth over the last two years,” Shihonmatsu stated.
“It gives me great pleasure to announce that my successor will be Mr Jeremy Needham. Jeremy has been working with Mitsubishi Electric Australia for 27 years, managing various divisions such as Railways, Power, Automotive and Factory Automation, and for the last year he has been leading the Living Environment Group.”
Needham said Mitsubishi is well placed to achieve growth moving forward.
“It is a privilege to represent Mitsubishi Electric in Australia, the products that we have in this market are performing strongly and we look forward to greater cooperation across the business following the One MELCO (enhanced interdepartmental collaboration) direction set by our parent company,” he commented.
“We also expect to introduce more products in the short term with the same characteristics of high quality and reliable performance that are core traits of the Mitsubishi Electric brand.”
