GoPro Introduces New Entry-Level Touchscreen Hero+ LCD

GoPro Introduces New Entry-Level Touchscreen Hero+ LCDThe Hero+ LCD, which is built into waterproof housing and which is waterproof to 40 metres, captures HD 1080p 60 fps video and takes 8 MP photos, with its touch display designed for easy shot framing, settings control and access to a new in-camera video trimming feature.

HiLight Tagging allows users to mark key moments while recording and during playback, acting as a digital bookmark for users to locate later, while the video trimming feature provides the ability to create short clips in-camera for easier sharing without a computer.

Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allows connectivity with smartphones and tablets, with the GoPro app providing functionality including smartphone or tablet camera control and shot preview for when the camera is mounted or out of reach.

The GoPro app is also a window for social media, allowing content sharing via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, along with other social media outlets.

Other features include power on and record automatically with the press of a single button with QuikCapture setting, capacity for a microSD card up to 64 GB, with the Hero+ LCD’s battery delivering approximately two hours of recording time.

capture solutions to anyone wanting to GoPro,” Nick Woodman, GoPro
founder and CEO, stated of the new addition to the GoPro line-up.

The Hero+ LCD will be available in the Australian market from July 12, carrying a price tag of $429 RRP.
