Blazing The 4G LTE Trail: LG Unveils F60 Smartphone

With
“blazing-fast 4G LTE”, LG says its F60 – which will begin
rolling out to customers in Europe, followed by Asia and the Americas,
starting this week – takes “connectivity to a whole new level”.

Running
Android 4.4 KitKat and powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, the
F60 features a 4.5-inch IPS display, and is housed in a “slim and
sleek” compact body (measuring 127.5 x 67.9 x 10.6 mm).

It’s not ‘F1’ premium like the LG G3, but the LG F60 is aiming for the mid-range market.

Squarely aimed at the mid-range market, the F60
is kitted out with a 5 MP rear camera and a front 1.3 MP VGA camera,
with the Touch & Shoot feature designed to allow users to take photos “quickly
and intuitively with a simple tap anywhere on the display to focus
and shoot in one single step”.

Another
feature, Gesture Shot, allows users “to take easy selfies by simply
opening and closing their hand in front of the lens to start a
three-second countdown before the shutter is triggered”, while Knock Code is designed to unlock the F60 via a personalised “knock”
pattern.

“LG
continues to demonstrate its advanced 4G LTE knowledge by bringing to
global consumers better and better mobile devices that take full
advantage of today’s most advanced wireless infrastructure,”
commented Dr Jong-seok Park, LG Electronics Mobile Communications
Company president and CEO.

“The LG
F60 offers a premium user experience for young and old users alike
who are looking for the fastest mobile experience possible at a
reasonable price.”

The F60
will be available in single and dual SIM versions, with LG stating
retail locations and prices will be announced in local markets at the
time of availability.
