New iPhone Production Back On Track

According to Digitimes, previous rumors that Apple’s next flagship iPhone device had been pushed back from its usual launch window have been somewhat exaggerated.

The new report says that suppliers in the iPhone supply chains are all ready to ramp up related iPhone parts from as soon as June, ahead of the usual September/October launch window.

Earlier reports indicated that the next iPhone will reportedly not be ready in time for the company’s typical September launch window, as a result of issues related to the lamination process of curved OLED panels.

In addition, DigiTimes says that “iPhone assemblers Foxconn Electronics, Winstron and Pegatron are accelerating the recruitment and training of new workers in China in preparation of mass production of the new iPhone.”

The iPhone 8 is tipped to feature wireless charging and a curved OLED display.
