Klipsch Unveil First Soundbar; $799
Klipsch launch SB 120, a 2.1 speaker system with Bluetooth.
The 160 watts SB 120 soundbar has Klipsch horn-loaded technology with separate midrange drivers and dual subwoofers.
Unveiled in Sydney last week, the 3-way system soundbar has long-throw woofers for extended bass response, and switchable 3D surround mode to simulate a multiple speaker surround system.
The high end soundbar has 2 X .75″ (19mm) aluminum tweeters mated to 90 x 90 Tractrix Horns. Its Bluetooth technology also streams music from other devices such as smartphones and tablets.
However, its not as small as other soundbars but can act as a pedestal for a flat panel TV (with a base smaller than 31″) and is at the medium pricing range.
There’s no HDMI port on the SB 120, but it has 1 X optical input and 1 X dual RCA input.
It comes with 1.6m digital optical cable, 1.6, 3.5mm to dual RCA cable, and a remote control.
The Klipsch SB 120 retails for $799, due in specialist hifi stores and Harvey Norman this week.
