EXCLUSIVE:De’ Longhi Offically Gives Up Kenwood + Ariete Brands

Effective immediately the Ariette brand which is highly popular in Italy is set to be distributed by Tempo with several major retailers including Harvey Norman, The Good Guys and JB Hi Fi Home set to range the brand in Australia.

The De’ Longhi Group who own the Ariete brand said in their letter to retailers “We believe this decision will allow De’ Longhi Australia to better support our key Global brands including our partnerships with Nescafe Dolce Gusto and Nespresso as well as focusing on core categories in the kitchen and comfort segments such as small domestic appliances, major Kitchen appliances, seasonal and linen care categories”

They added “As part of this process and effective from June 1st, 2014, Tempo Australia will take over exclusively the distribution of the brand Ariete in Australia and New Zealand, including the steam cleaning category, granting full dedication and focus to this brand”.

“All warranty claims, changeover requests and customer service and sales enquires will still be accepted and processed By De’ Longhi Australia on all the steam cleaning products under the “Ariete by Kenwood” or “Kenwood” brand. All warranty claims, changeover requests and customer service and sales enquires for any product under the “Ariete” brand will be accepted and processed by Tempo”.

Tempo said that they are currently supplying new stock to Australian retailers with several major retailers set to heavily promote the brand.
