XGIMI’s Professional-Grade Projector A Threat To Incumbents
XGIMI is making its boldest move yet at IFA, unveiling the much-anticipated Titan.
It’s a projector designed not for the living room but for the professional AV market.
The Chinese company has built its name on consumer projectors that are easy to set up, attractively priced, and cleverly designed.
It’s a formula that has proven popular with those frustrated by clunky hardware and opaque menus. With the Titan, XGIMI is transplanting its user-friendly approach to devices notorious for being difficult to operate.
Epson, Panasonic, Sharp/NEC and Sony have long dominated the professional-grade projector industry.
Their models are undoubtedly impressive. But they often require specialist installation, fiddly calibration, and a budget that only corporations, universities, or government departments can manage.

Other pro-grade projectors could soon be looking dated
Incumbents have proceeded on the basis that those in the market for a professional projector will be happy to pay handsomely for it, both with their money and time.
In contrast, Titan is being positioned as a projector that delivers professional-level performance without the overhead.
Instead of endless settings, XGIMI is pushing usability. Instead of chasing spec-sheet one-upmanship, it’s doubling down on controls.
Pricing, while yet to be confirmed, is expected to undercut legacy rivals.
A user-friendly and affordable pro-grade projector could even bring a new class of buyers into the market.
Co-working spaces, boutique event venues, and creative agencies seeking a heavy-duty projector but lacking dedicated AV staff and unwilling to pay inflated service costs are an obvious target market for the Titan.
