Withings Targets GLP-1 Users With New BodyFit Smart Scale
Withings has introduced BodyFit, a mid-range smart scale designed for people who want more detailed information about changes in body composition during weight loss.

Priced at A$280, BodyFit sits below the company’s high-end A$600 Body Scan scale but adopts some of its design features, including a retractable handle used for more detailed measurements. By holding the handle at waist height, users can access segmented body composition readings and a single-lead ECG.
The scale uses bioelectrical impedance technology to estimate muscle mass and fat mass across six body areas. This is particularly relevant for people using GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic or Wegovy, as some users report losing muscle as well as fat during treatment.

Withings says testing with French sports clinic Mon Stade found BodyFit’s readings were 98 per cent accurate for muscle mass and 99 per cent accurate for fat mass when compared with DEXA scans, which are commonly used in clinical settings.
The accompanying Withings app provides coaching, weight goals, calorie balance information and guidance aimed at supporting sustainable progress. BodyFit is available now through Withings, with broader retail availability expected later.
