Winning Group’s Largest Distribution Centre Set For 2021

Following strong growth, Winning Group has announced a new 45,000sqm purpose-built distribution centre in Altona North, Victoria.

Opening in February 2021, the new Altona North distribution centre will be the Group’s largest distribution centre in its 113-year history and will ensure enough breathing space for the retailer’s growth and expansion moving forward.

Located 15km from Melbourne’s CBD, the new distribution centre will boast 51 loading docks, which is four times more than Winning Group’s previous site and will enable more efficient loading and unloading.

“We will be increasing the size of our Victorian distribution centre from 10,000 to 45,000sqm,” said John Winning, Winning Group CEO.

“Its location has been carefully chosen to ensure that our Winning Appliances, Appliances Online and Home Clearance customers receive the most efficient delivery.”

“Following strong double-digit growth for the Group in Victoria, our new Altona North distribution centre allows our business to continue to expand rapidly.”

“Furthermore, our state-of-the-art racking system, which will be 13m in height, and our industry-leading warehouse management system, will significantly improve location accuracy and the ability to service free, next-day delivery in Victoria with our famous legendary service.”
