Winning Appliances Acquire Michael’s Appliance Centre

Winning Appliances has acquired Melbourne-based Michael’s Appliance Centre – a deal which will see owner, Michael Wood, become an ambassador for the John Winning owned company.

The acquisition retires Mr Wood from the day-to-day responsibilities of running Michael’s Appliance Centre, with existing management and sales teams set to retain their roles.

Winning will continue operating Michael’s Appliance Centre under “Michael’s banner” in the interim, both as a commercial and retail showroom.

The purchase increases Winning’s retail footprint to 14 showrooms encompassing NSW, ACT, QLD, WA & VIC.

Winning Group CEO, John Winning, asserts both he and Mr Wood share “many similarities”, including a passion for premier kitchen and laundry brands, coupled with excellent customer service.

As ambassador, Mr Wood will champion Winning Appliances with customers and suppliers, whilst fostering industry relationships and promoting the brand at events.

“Michael’s is a well respected 40 year old business, and we see it as a privilege to continue Michael Wood’s legacy and have him remain a part of the Winning Appliances business”, adds Mr Winning.

Mr Winning asserts he’s excited to work with Michael’s team – a retailer known as the “go-to place” for 3000 of Melbourne’s most prominent designers, architects and builders.

Mr Wood states he’s delighted to associate Michael’s Appliance Centre with Winning Appliances, and looks forward to embracing his role as brand ambassador.
