Vodafone Looks To Transform

LONDON: A former chairman of beermaker Heineken will take the reins of Vodafone Group when current chairman Gerard Kleisterlee retires from the board in November.

The new chairman will be Jean-Francois Van Boxmeer, who is expected to join the board following Vodafone’s AGM on July 28. He will use the months between then and when he takes over as chairman to undergo a crash course in telecoms.
