According to a story in Network World, the suit, alleges that Samsung “designs its printers to flash an ’empty’ message and shut down, to notify users they need to replace their toner cartridge”—even if there is a significant amount of toner left.

And at typically cost $60 per cartridge, the costs involved here could be phenomenal.

As for Samsung, there is another problem – and that is the law firm involved in this case is the same one that two years ago sued Epson over similar allegations.

Furthermore, the firm has also sued Apple early this year for allegedly making false and misleading claims in the marketing of its iMac computer.
