UE Megablast And Blast Now Supporting Voice Control For Spotify Connect

The new Ultimate Ears Megablast and Blast now supports voice control for Spotify Connect after only being able to work with Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, Deezer and TuneIn.

The Blast and Megablast have Amazon Alexa in-built into the devices, one of the first speakers in Australia to do so.

These two speakers are competing against the likes of the JBL Link series, Panasonic Google Assistant speaker and the Sony LFS50G.

The speakers are dust proof and water proof with a rating of IP67.

The Megablast features sound pressure of 93 dBC, with the company saying it is 40 per cent louder than the predecessor UE Megaboom. The Blast boast 90dBC.

UE says the Megablast features a more powerful mid-range, deeper bass, and clearer vocals. Both models have Wi-Fi integration – with a range up to 100m – complimenting its 45m Bluetooth range.

The update is available to download now via the Ultimate Ears app on Google Play and the App Store.

The UE Megablast and Blast is available online and selected retailers for $379 and $279 respectively.
