TCL is transforming Hall 21A at IFA 2025 into what it’s calling an ‘Olympic-Tech Arena’. The arena is expected to be part-sports spectacle, part showcase of the brand’s innovative products.

TCL is a Worldwide Olympic Partner up until 2032, meaning it’s got exclusive and global marketing rights within the ‘home audiovisual equipment and home appliances’ category. TCL presumably paid handsomely to be a top-tier sponsor and is understandably eager to make the most of its association with the world’s most prestigious sporting event.

Last week, TCL put out a statement announcing, “As a Worldwide Olympic Partner, TCL will ignite the spirit of the Olympics at IFA with a creative booth design that brings to life the adrenaline and excitement of world-class sport and technology.”

As expected, visitors to the arena will “experience cutting-edge technologies including the latest ultra-large QD-Mini LED displays, NXTPAPER display technology, AR Glasses [and] AI-powered”.

But they’ll also wander “through a series of immersive environments powered by the latest TCL technologies”. Among other things, visitors will see “the European debut of TCL’s AI robots, alongside other technologies including smart home energy solutions, intelligent cockpits, and TCL NXTHOME”.

Spend less time fiddling with remotes and more time enjoying yourself

It’s not hard to see how many of TCL’s products might appeal to sports fans.

Its ultra-large QD-Mini LED TVs with 85-inch-plus screens offer peak brightness, deep contrast and faster refresh rates than standard mini-LEDs.

TCL’s NXTPAPER displays have a glare-banishing screen that mimics paper, offering eye-friendly real-time stats or immersive analytics.

TCL’s lightweight augmented-reality eyewear with overlay capabilities is just the thing for live sports simulations.

You could even argue that the company’s smart appliances free up more time to spend in front of that QD-Mini LED TV watching Australian athletes competing.

As it says on the IFA website, “TCL believes that greatness begins with a spark—a vibe that inspires, ignites, and unlocks potential through the power of technology and sports.”
