Sony Electronics is preparing to roll out a significantly updated line-up of professional display TV, unveiling 16 new BRAVIA models aimed at corporate, education, retail and transport settings.

The new BZ-P Series spans three tiers and replaces earlier models with slimmer designs, lower power use and a stronger focus on installation flexibility. Screen sizes range from 43-inches to 85-inches, with all models offering 4K HDR resolution and Sony’s Deep Black Non-Glare technology, which is designed to maintain contrast and readability in brightly lit spaces.

The line-up is split into the BZ40P flagship range, the BZ35P enhanced models and the BZ30P core series. Across the board, Sony has reworked both the hardware and software, pairing updated processors with a new system-on-a-chip design that removes the need for external players in digital signage deployments.

Sony says feedback from customers using earlier Deep Black Non-Glare displays prompted further development, particularly around visibility, energy efficiency and day-to-day operation. Brightness levels across the range sit between 400 and 700 cd/m², with anti-glare treatments rated at either 25 per cent or, on premium models, up to 47 per cent.

Installation has been a clear priority in the redesign. All displays use a uniform chassis with narrow bezels that support portrait orientation and video wall setups. Centre-mounted VESA points have been added to simplify mounting, while the larger 75 and 85-inch models include built-in handles to assist with transport. Sony’s Device Management Platform can also be used to provision multiple screens at scale.

Operational changes include a refreshed user interface, improved setup tools and tighter integration with Sony’s Remote Management System, allowing cloud-based monitoring, control and maintenance. The company has also worked with third-party content management system providers to ensure compatibility in commercial environments.

Durability remains a selling point, particularly for public and industrial locations. The BZ40P and BZ35P models carry IP5X-rated dust resistance, making them suitable for use in areas such as transport hubs, retail floors and warehouses.

Energy use has been reduced compared with earlier generations. Sony estimates power consumption is up to about 31 per cent lower than its previous BZL series, helped by a more efficient optical system and AI-driven backlight control. The new models are designed to meet Energy Star requirements, with EPEAT certification pending, and make greater use of SORPLAS recycled plastic, which now accounts for up to 43 per cent of materials in some units. An onboard ECO Dashboard allows operators to track usage patterns and adjust settings to manage energy costs.

The flagship BZ40P range includes four models from 55 to 85-inches, delivering 700 nits of brightness alongside the premium anti-glare coating and dust resistance. The BZ35P series expands the size options from 43 to 85-inches, offering 500 nits and standard Deep Black Non-Glare technology, while the BZ30P core range targets more cost-sensitive installations with 400 nits brightness across six sizes.

The new displays sit alongside Sony’s existing professional portfolio, which includes the 98-inch BZ53L, the compact 32-inch BZ30J and the EZ20L series.

Sony plans to showcase the BZ-P Series at major industry events over the next year, including Integrated Systems Europe in Barcelona in February, its AV Tech Expo in San Diego in March 2026 and InfoComm in Las Vegas in June 2026.

In Australia and New Zealand, selected models are expected to arrive from June 2026, with the full BZ40P, BZ35P and BZ30P ranges available through authorised Sony Professional dealers from July 2026.
