Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro Leak Ahead of Likely February Launch
Samsung’s next generation of premium true wireless earbuds appears to be just around the corner, with the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro surfacing in both certification databases and Samsung’s own software.
The two models, carrying model numbers SM-R540 (Buds 4) and SM-R640 (Buds 4 Pro), have now been spotted in multiple regulatory listings, including Malaysia’s SIRIM, the US FCC, India’s BIS and SGS certification databases.
These approvals typically appear in the final stages before a product is officially announced, strongly suggesting a global launch is imminent.
FCC filings confirm the Galaxy Buds 4 will support both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy, although detailed specifications such as battery size or Bluetooth version were not disclosed.

SGS listings also reveal the charging case model numbers – EP-QR540 for the Buds 4 and EP-QR640 for the Buds 4 Pro – further confirming that two variants are on the way.
Adding to the evidence, Samsung has seemingly leaked the products itself. Users have spotted both the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro listed inside the support and troubleshooting section of the Samsung Members app, where official devices are typically added shortly before launch.
According to recent leaks and renders, Samsung is sticking with the stem-style design introduced with the Galaxy Buds 3 series, but refining it with a more compact, curvier shape.

The company is also reportedly dropping the ‘Blade Lights’ feature found on the Buds 3 Pro. The charging case has been redesigned as well, returning to a flatter, horizontal layout that should make it easier to open and remove the earbuds.
While full specifications remain under wraps, rumours suggest improved sound quality and better battery life despite the smaller form factor. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are also expected to launch in at least three colours, including black, white and apricot.
All signs point to Samsung unveiling the Galaxy Buds 4 series alongside the Galaxy S26 smartphones at its next Galaxy Unpacked event, widely tipped for late February in San Francisco. Pricing and Australian availability have not yet been confirmed.
