It’s tipped to be a brutal price war Samsung 2023 TVs Vs LG’s OLED models, with both Companies looking to fight over the top end of the TV market with new OLE, QD OLED and Mini LED models.
The issue now is who will launch first, and more importantly who will announce their pricing first, with Samsung European pricing for their 2023 models giving us an insight as to what to expect.
Samsung has released their pricing to European retailers, with the all-new 77″ S95C QD OLED TV, which features a second-gen Quantum Dot OLED panel priced at $6,339, which means Australian pricing will be around $7,599 with GST etc.
The 65″ model is tipped to be around $5,499, while the 55″ model will be around $4,100, based on European pricing.
The new S90C QD OLED range, which will feature an inferior audio system to the S95Cs and won’t ship with the external connections box, will cost around $3,950 for the 55-inch, $4,950 for the 65 inch, and $5,999 for the 77 inch.
All these prices are estimates based on the US and European pricing that have already been announced.
Samsung’s Mini LED 8K models consist of the QN700Cs, the QN800Cs, and the QN900Cs.
The ‘entry-level’ models include the QN700C.
At this stage it’s not known which model retailers in Australia are set to range.
The big question is whether it’s actually worthwhile marketing 8K TVs, with several brands at CES 2023 ditching 8K models this year to concentrate on 4K models.
Samsung’s 4K Mini LED models consist of the QN85Cs, the QN90Cs, and QN95Cs. Starting with the QN85Cs, there are 55, 65, 75, and 85-inch models available to be sold in Australia.
The flagship 4K mini LED QN95C, which will feature another step up in dimming zones and a more powerful, detailed sound system, The 85″ model will cost around $9,500, the 65″ around $8,299.
We are still waiting on Samsung Australia to announce launch details.
