Samsung Unveils New Galaxy Smart Tag

Samsung’s next generation tracker, the Galaxy SmartTag 2, has recently received all necessary certifications, including the Bluetooth SIG certification with Bluetooth 5.3 support. And now it has been unveiled in an FCC application.

A new design seems to have taken place, now in an oblong shape instead of rectangular, and includes a larger keyring hole, however the actual size remains unknown as there were a lack of reference points in a released live photo.

It was revealed to have Bluetooth LE and UWB (Ultra Wide Band) connectivity, and doesn’t include a ‘2’ in the printed name. It’s also equipped with enhanced wireless range, security, and a longer lasting battery life.

Apart from the above, Samsung has been quiet about the release date, and it wasn’t announced at the Galaxy Unpacked Event, however it’s speculated an early 2024 release could be in the works, with only one model supposedly coming.
