Samsung Unveils Eye-Friendly 2021 Monitor Range

Samsung has unveiled a new range of 12 high-resolution IPS monitors which, in an industry first, have been Intelligent Eye Care certified by TÜV Rheinland.

The 2021 monitor range is split across the S8, S7, and S6 series, each with HDR10 and a 178-degree viewing angle. Each is certified by TÜV Rheinland, and features adaptive picture eye care technology that adjusts brightness and colour temperature according to room conditions; an eye-saver mode to reduce eyestrain-causing blue light emissions; and flicker prevention.

According to Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, the range marries high performance with ergonomic design.

“As demand for higher resolution monitors continues to increase, Samsung plans to continue to lead the market by unveiling new products that meet our customers’ needs.

“Our 2021 High-Resolution lineup delivers dazzling picture quality and powers enhanced performance, all the while ensuring user comfort with a streamlined, eco-conscious design,” she said.

The flagship 4K S8 is available in 27” and 32” configurations, as is the S7; the S6 series has a 1440p resolution and is sold in 24”, 27”, 32”, and ultrawide 34”.

Australian pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed.
