Samsung Gear S3 Confirmed For IFA Debut

Rumors that the Samsung’s next smartwatch will make an IFA debut look to have been confirmed.

Samsung sent out an invitation to press for their upcoming event in Berlin on the 31st of August, a few days ahead of IFA itself.

The invitation indicates that the company will be placing the new Gear front and center.

This falls in line with earlier reports by Russian technology journalist Eldar Murtazin, which suggested the device would be launched on September 1st alongside the new Galaxy Tab S3.

Like Samsung’s recent Unpacked event in New York, this conference will be livestreamed online.

The Gear S2 was very well-received and it’ll be interesting to see how the South Korean innovators plan to build on that success.

It’s expected that Samsung will release a mainstream consumer level version of the device this year and a luxury-grade offering early next year.

More news as we close in on IFA, which will take place from the 2nd to the 9th of September.
